Versailles

Maggie, Isabel, Caroline, and Aaron dabbing in the Versailles gardens

Our group in the Hall of Mirrors

Today, we went to Versailles just outside Paris. I didn’t know anything about the history and I came excited to learn. I had no expectations and I was completely blown away. We learned it was originally a hunting lodge, which Louis XV made into the palace we know today. I loved hearing out guide talk about the extravagant lifestyle of the kings and queens who lived there (Louis XV, Louis XVI, and Marie-Antoinette) the most. I absolutely loved the art on the ceilings. I especially enjoyed eating a french baguette and mango sorbet out in the gardens with a beautiful view of the palais. I felt very French. It was a lovely day!
